I removed Mixmax from my Gmail account a couple of months before my e-transfer fraud happened (bugs & spams tired me off). I don't want to go Edward Snowden on it but when you read Mixmax features and have a minimal technical background, you quickly realize how intrusive their product can be on your Gmail private data (emails). It had nice features like scheduled email (which Gmail didn't have back then) and read receipt. I did subscribe to Mixmax more than a year ago. What a beautiful coincidence :)įurther research brought me to Mixmax as the proud owner of the app (see screenshot below) The Authorized Application access to my Gmail account happened a couple of minutes before my wife received a notification from her bank saying that the fund transfer was finalized. My last Gmail Session Activities showed Access Type all coming from my personal IP address except one from an Authorized Application: (see screenshot below) My Chrome history & My Google Activities were as clean as a whistle (while I was sleeping, no activity happened on my devices) I then took a closer look to my Gmail logs and found the following: So once again, how did my e-transfer email get highjacked? I really doubt that I have Malwares, Spywares nor a Keylogger on my computer: no porn stuff, no dark web organ trafficking, no torrents, no hacked version of Office (I paid for my sh*t)
